Our story

Launched in November 2016, Cera is one of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses, and already one of the largest healthcare-at-home providers in the UK.

In less than five years, we’ve grown from scratch to a team of almost 10,000 professionals, providing over 40,000+ in-person healthcare visits in homes throughout the UK every day.

This journey began with Dr Ben Maruthappu, our co-founder and CEO, who experienced the crisis facing our healthcare sector up close whilst trying to organise care for a loved one.

Seeing the challenges facing care professionals, and those seeking care, first-hand, Ben saw a unique opportunity for technology to create a better way.
